Chart debug — authorized access
US (NOAA) charts the whole view; Canada (CHS) is masked to Canadian waters on top (approximate at the line). Where NOAA has no ENC chart at a given zoom (Lake Erie has a coverage gap), NOAA/GLERL bathymetry contours fill in underneath — supplementary, not for navigation; the caption bottom-left shows which depth source you're seeing. Chart style (in the layers menu) switches between the classic streets-plus-chart view and a full ECDIS-style chart with white deep water. Hide depth chart drops to streets only. GPS runs only while enabled and drains battery on a long sail — stop it when you don't need it. Position is coarse on desktop, accurate on phones.
